The 5-Series is BMW’s second best-selling model with a long history that started in 1972 when the first generation was launched. BMW 5-Series became a big market for dealers with more than 5 million cars sold since the first model was produced. It is also the first series that added hybrid models starting in 2010.
All models are available only in four-door versions and feature generous interior space and comfort and quality for the driver and passengers.
Since 1972, the German manufacturer released 6 different generations with various changes to the chassis and engine. V8 engines were introduced to the series in 1994. Prior to 1994, the series was available with either 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder engines.
Famous for their luxurious interior, space and performance, the 5-Series has targeted a more select consumer niche due to their price. Used BMW 5-Series have been selling for the customers that have a limited budget out of which the fifth generation is the most popular.
